Our Rooms

We have 4 newly refurbished rooms to one side of our courtyard garden. They all have ensuite bathrooms.
They have all been decorated in a style that celebrates the beauty of our natural surroundings.
The two ground floor rooms follow a ‘down in the bluebell woods’ theme, while the 2 upstairs rooms celebrate the drama of being ‘up on the downs’.
The all have large flat screen TVs, fresh allergy-free bedding, towels and toiletries.
There is a complimentary free WiFi to connect to.
The room rate includes a cooked full English breakfast. There are a choice of cereals, granola and locally made luxury yoghurt for those who would like a lighter option. You are welcome to enjoy this out in the garden on sunny mornings if you prefer. There are coffee and tea making facilities in each room for early risers.
Room 4 is our family room. A well-trained family dog is welcome to stay there too.
All rooms have a hair dryer and ironing facilities.

We can be busy

Our guest rooms are situated to one side of our beer garden. We are a popular village pub and on warm evenings there will be adults sitting around drinking and eating and being sociable within hearing range. We close the garden at 10.30pm but there might be a bit of noise as customers return to their cars at closing time.

This doesn’t concern most of our guests as they come to join in or have other things to do in the evenings but we realise that some people will be tired and want to retire early.

We can’t offer peace and tranquillity but we can offer complementary ear plugs.

This is not such an issue on colder and wetter nights. We just want you to be aware.

Childen and Pets

We welcome them with the proviso that the adults of the family keep them both under control for their own sake. We are unapologetically an adult environment and there are attendant dangers like hot wood burners and fire pits, stairs, cars in the car park, an albeit quiet road at the front of the pub etc. Having said that, we do have a children’s menu and dog treats on the bar.

Bikes and Guns

We have a large car park at the rear of the pub, a covered secure area to store your bicycles overnight, and a gun cabinet in the office should you need to secure your guns at any time during your stay.

“The room was beautiful and very clean. Food was lovely and well priced. Paul and all the staff were brilliant and couldn’t do enough to help. It was a wonderful break away, great value for money. We will definitely be returning. Thank you to all the team for making it a special stay.”
